It can also be spot varnish as in the case where you would like to highlight certain images or photographs. The magazines are usually produced as monthly, bi-annual or quarterly publication. It is often divided into various parts which is run by the editors for each, an overall editor and the copy brought together by writers and freelance writers. The parts are divided into food, crafts, lifestyle and other sections and different additional information added to it. The overall editor decides what would be included and what should be excluded or can stand over for the next issue.
The brochure is different in terms of its application and often finds its way into the main publication as an advertisement. It should compliment it and should therefore also be published as a publication of high standards. Sometimes matte paper or varnish is used to give the magazine and the brochure a different look from the rest.
As everyone knows, the magazine cover could be the most significant part of any publication. The cover has the power to result in a buyer to choose it up and purchase it. You are able to see this should you visit a newsagents and observe the covers on a lot of magazines.
The brochures are often done for clients, who would pay for design, layout and print. It is therefore presented in the style in which the client requested it to be in.
